*Time-Sensitive* PNW Chapter of ASPMN Will Dissolve Without New Leadership
Posted about 12 hours ago
We’re reaching out today with an important message about the future of our chapter.
As many of you know, this chapter has been a meaningful part of our nursing community for many years. It has brought us together, supported professional growth, and offered countless educational opportunities. We've hosted events, shared knowledge, built friendships, and made a real impact.
But now, we are at a critical point.
To continue, we need members to step into the President and President-Elect leadership roles. In the absence of new leadership to guide the chapter’s future, dissolution will regrettably be necessary.
We know this chapter holds value for many of you — it certainly does for us. If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved, now is the time. You don’t need prior leadership experience — just a willingness to contribute, collaborate, and help shape the future of our local nursing community.
If you’re interested or would like to learn more, please reply to djrae@msn.com by November 1st, 2025. We’re happy to share more about the roles, answer your questions, and offer support every step of the way.
While the chapter’s future is uncertain, this doesn't have to be a goodbye. Should the chapter dissolve, there are still many ways to stay connected and engaged with the broader professional community — including joining a Special Interest Group (SIG), participating in ASPMN activities at the national level, and staying active on the ListServ. These avenues continue to offer opportunities for connection, education, and support.
Thank you for being a part of this chapter’s story. Let’s work together to ensure its legacy continues.
Warmly,
The Pacific Northwest Chapter of ASPMN Board of Directors
